Home Design App: Bare Bones to a Finished Entry
This is the moment a home design app earns its place: the walls are up, the floor is plywood, and every decision is still open. You can see the finished space before a single finish is bought.
What stayed the same
The arched double door with its fanlight is the same door, now painted white. The curved staircase keeps its dark handrail, its white balusters and its landing window. The ceiling height and the position of the right hand wall have not moved.
What changed
The plywood subfloor became wide whitewashed oak. The walls went pale blue with white panel moulding, and a mural climbs the wall beside the stairs. A gilt palm chandelier hangs from the ceiling. A skirted round table with a blue and white vase of orchids sits at the centre with two rattan stools, and a green console with a lamp and a scalloped mirror fills the right wall.
